Sweet As Sin is John Murphy's story and it is a dark one. He hasn't had the best life and has many issues that he must deal with. He's never allowed himself to love a woman and Livvy is the one to make him think differently. That's what I liked so much about this book. Most Contemporary Romance books focus on the female character in the story. We get the chance to learn more about John throughout the book along with Livvy as she slowly peels away the many layers of his life to find out his backstory. The reader realizes why John is the way he is right along with Livvy and can understand how difficult his life has been.

Another thing I loved about this book is the book within the book. John is a famous YA author and is writing a book that we get to read. Both stories are intertwined with one another as John's everyday life gives him ideas for his YA book. The storyline is so cute and I found myself anxious to read the next part of his story. The end of his YA story had me in tears because it was so touching! His life truly because an inspiration for his work and I'm so happy that Inez Kelley gave the readers the chance to see this part of John's life.

I've read and reviewed several of Inez Kelley's works here on the blog, but I have to say that this has been my favorite so far. Ms. Kelley you blew me away with this story! It was so emotional and had me crying for the battles that John had to face. With the love from a good woman, John was able to face his battles head on and realized that he is not alone in his journey. Livvy was there with him and gave him the strength to face his inner battles and the hope that things can change. As a reader, I felt privileged to have been able to view John and Livvy's journey throughout the book and felt like I was right there with them every step of the way.
