HE'S EXACTLY WHAT SHE'S ALWAYS WANTED...

Lucy was once the beloved Goddess of the Moon. These days the goddesses of the Etruscan pantheon are all but forgotten. The only rituals she enjoys now are the local hockey games, where one ferociously handsome player inflames her divine blood...

AND SHE UNLEASHES HIM LIKE A FORCE OF NATURE...

Brandon Stevenson is one hundred percent focused on the game, until he looks up and sees a celestial beauty sitting in the third row. A man could fall hard for a distraction like that...
Lucy may feel like a forgotten goddess, but there are those that still worship and respect her.  She lives her life surrounded by them and is happy, but misses male companionship.  She attends the local hockey games and is attracted to one of the hockey players and is surprised to find out that he's attracted to her as well.  Brandon has had his eye on Lucy when she attends his games and decides to find out more about her by showing up to the bar in which she owns.  Lucy is shocked when she learns that he's attracted to her as well and they both decide to give into that attraction when they share a night of passion.  They feel right for one another and it's almost as if fate has brought these two together.  Lucy's life is in danger and in order to protect those that worship her, she must decide to transfer what remaining power she has to someone else. Brandon wants to help her and feels a natural need to protect her.  There is much more to Brandon that he realizes and with the help of some of Lucy's friends, he learns a secret that has been kept from him.

I could really feel the attraction between Brandon and Lucy while I was reading the story.  Their scenes were sexy and I liked how Brandon took the initiative to go to Lucy and let her know that he wanted to get to know her better.  I think that even though Lucy is a goddess and has power, she was still very naive in thinking that she would be safe and that her life wouldn't be placed in danger at all.  It had happened to her other fellow goddesses and I think she should have had some preventative measures in place just in case.  I'm glad that Brandon was there to help her and his storyline ended up being my favorite part of the book.  I loved how his secret was unraveled and how the reader was able to learn more about his past experiences.

I'm giving How To Worship A Goddess a rating of:
Photobucket

I'm a huge fan of mythology so that aspect of the book appeals to me greatly.  I like that the books in the series are quick, easy reads and that's due to Stephanie Julian's great writing.  I was hoping for a little more excitement, but I was still able to enjoy the storyline.
