Gillian Forrester spent most of her life running from who and what she came from. Until Miles came along. From the moment she held the tiny newborn her older sister didn’t want, Gillian stopped running and began to build a life for herself and her adopted son. Now, thirteen years later, as Gillian’s sister lay dying, she reveals the father’s identity and makes Gillian promise to find him.

Adrian Brown is the epitome of the successful rock star. He’s seen and done it all, with few regrets. It takes a lot to shock him—but the bombshell that he has a thirteen-year-old son rocks his world. And Adrian is even more surprised when the buttoned-up, elegant woman who’s raising Miles snags his erotic and romantic attention.

The last thing Gillian expected was to find herself getting hot and heavy with a person like Adrian. But as much as she wants to open up and give herself fully to this amazing man, she’s afraid the secrets of her past and Adrian’s problems with trusting people may keep them apart for good. If love isn’t enough can they find the trust they need?
Adrian Brown is the youngest Brown sibling and the most popular one.  He is a rock star and although he loves doing what he does, deep down inside what he wants is a family.  Over the last 3 books in the series, the Brown family has expanded with each of the siblings finding true love as well as children being born into the family.  The family also now includes Cope and his wife Ella.  When Adrian is around all of them all he can wish for is that he gets to experience what they have one day.  Enter Gillian and Miles Forrester.  Gillian's sister has kept a secret for 13 years and on her death bed tells Gillian that Adrian Brown is the father of her son.  Gillian promises to find Adrian and give him the news about Miles.  After seeing a pic of him she realizes it's the truth, Miles is definitely Adrian's son.  Gillian finds a way to get in contact with Adrian and manages to arrange a meeting with him.  After they flirt with each other for a few minutes she spills the beans and Adrian literally freaks out.  This isn't the first time that he's been told that he's going to be a father and he doesn't want to hear anything that she has to say.  He turns to his big brother Brody, who I absolutely love, and listens to his advice that just maybe Gillian may be telling the truth and that he may be missing out on a good thing.

What I loved about Adrian is that he had so much hope that Miles might be his son.  He didn't want it to not be true and because of this reacted the way that he did.  Gillian is understanding of this fact thanks to Adrian's awesome sister Erin taking the time to explain all of what Adrian has been through due to his celebrity.  Gillian's character impressed me the most due to the fact that she had so much responsiblity at a young age.  She raised Miles from the time he was born pretty much and had to put her own hopes and dreams on hold to take care of him.  Like any mother would say, it was worth it all and the relationship she has with Miles was extremely touching.  I loved reading the scenes in which Adrian would stand back and be a witness to this as it made him fall for Gillian even more.  She's outspoken and stands up for what she believes in and I think she was the perfect person for Adrian.  He's not a spoiled celebrity, but is used to getting his way.  Not with Gillian and she lets him know early on that she's not that kind of woman.  This is what I love about Lauren Dane's writing.  She has the ability to write these great, stong female characters that are not only independent thinkers, but loving and supporting as well.  I'm also a huge fan for Lauren's hot, sensual sex scenes!  She writes some of the best and we are treated to some great ones in this book.  Adrian and Gillian really knows what the other likes and because of that they are able to really enjoy each other.  Adrian is also a dirty talker which I absolutely LOVED!  Oh boy, just thinking about some of the things that he said has got me feeling as if the temperature just rose in the room.  Gillian also said somethings that made me want to high five her.  She's not afraid to let Adrian know what she is thinking at the moment and lets just say that he enjoyed every minute after that. LOL!

I'm giving Never Enough a rating of:
 Photobucket

What I wouldn't give to hang out at a family function with this group of characters!  I don't think I've read another group of characters that are full of so much love for their family and friends!  They always seem to have a great time and appreciate each others company.  I thought that Gillian fit right in with the family and it was obvious that they are going to show her and Adrian's son Miles lots of love.

Other books in the series:
Book 1:  Laid Bare
Book 2:  Coming Undone
Book 3:  Inside Out
