Instant Gratification Review: Seduction In Memory Grove Series by Melissa Ecker

Welcome to my new feature Instant Gratification
for my reviews of novellas!

Today's review is for the Seduction In Memory Grove series by Melissa Ecker. There are 3 novellas in this series, and each main character is part of a profession that I'm sure a lot of women like to fantasize about. Police Officer, Cowboy, and Fireman. *wiggles eyebrows* Click on this link to her website to learn more information about this series, and to find out where the ebooks can be purchased.

I received all 3 books from author for review on my blog.

Book 1 in the series: Pull the Trigger
Justin's story. Profession: Police Officer (Cuff me please!)

Publisher: Lazy Day Publishing

Rebecca Harper is making a clean break. The ink is dry on her divorce decree and her dream job has finally come to fruition. In two weeks, she will be on a plane to St. Louis. All her plans are set until sexy cop Justin Cain, her former high school crush, asks her to dinner. This one night out instigates a roller coaster ride of hot sex, serious soul searching and heart breaking decisions. Will Rebecca leave Justin behind to follow her dreams? Or will his love be enough to keep her in Memory Grove?
(synopsis from Amazon.com)

After pulling over Rebecca for speeding one night, Justin is able to offer Rebecca the support and attention that she needs. She is going through a hard time and Justin is just what she needs to take her mind off of things. Not only is he a great listener, but he is able to help her through this difficult time in so many different ways. ;) Justin gives Rebecca the freedom to live out her fantasies and this leads to many great sex scenes. We also get to see their relationship grow and things become serious when Rebecca has to make a decision regarding her future.

I felt that Pull the Trigger was a great lead into the great series. I'm giving this novella *4* Bells!

I loved that Justin loved Rebecca for who she was and was able to give her confidence in herself. That was something that her ex-husband wasn't able to do and it just showed how much of a great guy Justin was. She was able to be open and honest with him and was able to enjoy their relationship much more.

Book 2 in the series: Mount Up
Luke's story. Profession: Hot Cowboy (Yee haw!)

Dr. Natalie Shea doesn't want to be attracted to the rugged but affable cowboy who ends up under her care after a rodeo injury. But when a second fateful accident has their paths crossing again, there is no denying the synergy, both in and out of the bedroom. Luke Reilly is everything she never expected. He's captured her body, but her heart won't be won that easily. Can Luke break down the walls built by a childhood tragedy and set Natalie free to love him forever? Or will she walk away from him and Memory Grove without looking back?
(synopsis from Amazon.com)

Oh Luke! Be still my heart! After being injured at the rodeo, Luke finds himself in the ER and being attended to by Natalie. He is a local celebrity and Natalie can't understand why all the women that she works with are excited that he is there until she gets a look at him herself. She can understand why they are so excited and gets the chance to experience a little excitement herself when she and Luke become close. Luke is a gentlemen, but Natalie gets to see a different side of Luke in the bedroom and O.M.G. do the readers get a treat when it comes to the hot sex scenes! Luke doesn't hold back and I had to fan my face a couple of times while reading this novella. It is my favorite in the series and after reading it I just had to add Luke to the Book Boyfriend list!

I'm giving Mount Up *4* Bells!

I am now a huge fan of cowboys thanks to Luke and Melissa Ecker's fine writing. I was a little sad to see Luke's story end. I know that it's a novella. But I would have been so happy to continue reading his story. He is featured a little bit in the other novellas, so I'll just have to take what I can get. ;)

Book 3 in the series: Feed the Fire
Cade's story. Profession: Fireman (I'm on fire!)

After eight years, Olivia Andrews returns to Memory Grove for her best friend's wedding. She has no intention of becoming involved with sexy fireman, Cade Reilly, but once she finds herself in his bed, there is no turning back. Their casual affair is suddenly complicated when an unexpected visitor shows up on Cade's doorstep and the demons that Olivia left behind come calling. Will their new found love overcome the obstacles created by their yesterdays or will those revelations drive a wedge between them forever?
(synopsis from Amazon.com)

After leaving Memory Grove for some time, Olivia returns to attend the wedding of Rebecca and Justin from Book 1 of the series, Pull the Trigger. She's a nervous wreck after finally leaving her boyfriend and is a little out of place once she see's her old high school friends. One of them is Cade who just so happens to be Luke's little brother. We meet Cade briefly in Luke's book, Mount Up, and he remembers Rebecca fondly. Cade does his best to make Rebecca feel at home and they become very close during this time. The past has a funny way of sneaking up on you and this is the case for both Cade and Olivia. They both have to deal with their past issues while trying to move their relationship forward.

I'm giving Feed the Fire *4* Bells!

I would have to say that Feed the Fire is the most heartfelt out of the 3 novellas in the series. Cade and Olivia were able to get through their past issues together and that made them stronger as a whole. It was so wonderful to see Olivia especially be so understanding about Cade's past and because of that they were able to make things work.

I quickly became a fan of Melissa's work after reading this series and cannot wait to see what she has in store for us with her future releases. I know that she planning to write about more cowboys and I will be one happy reader if they will be anything like Luke. *chuckles*
