HER LOVE HAS COME ALONG . . .

Amy Michaels loves her new life in Lucky Harbor. A waitress in the local diner, she's looking forward to her first weekend hike through the mountains. But when a wrong turn takes her off the trail, she finds herself up close and personal with forest ranger Matt Bowers. And even though she's tempted to kiss that sexy smile right off his face, she won't make the mistake of getting involved with the town heartthrob.

A former cop whose life went south, Matt doesn't let anyone get too close. But something about the feisty beauty caught his eye the moment he first saw her in the diner. After a hot night under a starry sky, Matt can't deny their attraction-or the fact that for the first time in a long time, he feels the stirrings of something more. Now it's up to Matt to help Amy see that, no matter what is in their past, together they can build a future in Lucky Harbor.
Matt and Amy could only deny the attraction between them for so long.  Everyone around them noticed it and after getting to know each other a little better, they give into it.  They both have past issues that must be dealt with in order for their relationship to be more stabilized.  I enjoyed getting to know them both better as the story progressed.  They are both serious individuals and are passionate with certain aspects of the lives.  Amy befriends a runaway teen that happens to remind her of herself when she was that age.  With Matt's help, they join forces to protect the teen and give her hope that things can change for the best.

I enjoyed the banter between Matt and Amy during the scenes that they were together.  While I enjoyed At Last, there were times throughout the book where the reading was slow and I wanted there to be a little more excitement.  All in all, the characters is what the story enjoyable and I was satisfied on how it all worked out for everyone in the end.

Forever and a Day
Book 6 in the Lucky Harbor series
Author: Jill Shalvis
Publisher:  Forever
Release date:  7/31/12

LOVE CAN HAPPEN IN A HEARTBEAT...

Grace never thought she’d be starting her life over from scratch. Losing everything has landed her in Lucky Harbor, working as a dog walker for overwhelmed ER doctor Josh Scott. But the day his nanny fails to show up, Grace goes from caring for Josh’s loveable mutt to caring for his rambunctious kids. Soon Grace is playing house with the sexy single dad…

With so many people depending on him, Josh has no time for anything outside of his clinic and family–until Grace arrives in town. Now this brainy blonde is turning his life inside out and giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “good bedside manner.” Josh and Grace don’t know if what they have can last. But in a town like Lucky Harbor, a lifetime of love starts with just one day…
Let me start off this review by saying that I absolutely loved Forever and a Day.  I was originally a little worried on whether Josh and Grace's characters would be interesting.  They were mentioned in the 2 previous books in the series and I really thought their characters were kind of boring.  Was I wrong!  Their characters and this book ended up being on of my faves in the series.  Josh's life is an extremely busy one due to his job as an ER doc and taking care of his young son and sister.  Grace comes to Josh's aid several times when he desperately needs someone.  She needs the money and it all ends up working out for everyone as the two of them get closer after she becomes a constant presence in Josh's life.

I'm giving Forever and a Day a rating of:
 Photobucket

There were lots of hot scenes between the two characters as they turned to one another for comfort.  I felt that they were perfect for one another and complimented each other well.  Grace's understanding nature is exactly what Josh's family needed and it all worked out for everyone as these 2 fell in love.  Wonderful storytelling by Jill Shalvis, as always, that really made this book one of my faves in the series!
