Review: The Hostage Bargain by Annika Martin

The Hostage Bargain The Hostage Bargain
Book 1 in the Bank Robber series
Author:  Annika Martin
Author's website:  Link
When small town girl Melinda Prescott is taken hostage by three hot bank robbers, she quickly discovers that a life of bank heists, luxury hotels, and kinky menages is way more exciting than working on the family sheep farm. She should be scared of her dominating, fierce captors...but there's something wicked inside her that's craving to obey their every dark desire.

Melinda's an all-too willing captive to three smoldering sex maniacs...but is it all too good to be true? Will her delicious captors overcome their own demons enough to let her in…or is she going to end up a victim of the world's sexiest crime spree?

Warning: This book contains a sexy bank-robbers-and-their-captive sandwich, light bondage, spanking, teasing hints of domination, and a little play-time in a hot tub. Oh, and some all too delicious, villainous alpha heroes who bend the heroine to their will.
When I first read what The Hostage Bargain was about, I knew that I had to read this story.  I mean how often does one come across a book like this?  The Hostage Bargain was an entertaining, witty read that was filled with action.  Melinda Prescott's life has become boring and complacent to her standards.  She unexpectantly gets some excitement into her life when the bank that she works at is robbed by 3 masked men.  But these aren't just any masked men.  They are 3 hot masked men.  There is something very appealing about them to Melinda, so she decides to run off with them for a little while by allowing herself to get voluntarily kidnapped.  Yup you read that right.  The next few weeks of her life are filled with excitement as Melinda and her kidnappers get to know one another better.  *waggles brows*  This is when the books take a turn for the hot as there are many erotic scenes in which Melinda allows herself to fully let go and do what she's only imagined in her dreams.

I'm giving The Hostage Bargain a rating of:
Photobucket

I can certainly understand how Melinda felt about wanting do something different and exciting in her life.  The guys were hot and interesting and I enjoyed learning more about them and their past as the book progressed.  I thought that The Hostage Bargain was unique because of the kookiness of the storyline.  It worked to an extent, but then I thought that it became a tad bit unrealistic.  This made it hard for me to connect with any of the characters and the situation that they were involved in.  Despite this, I was still able to enjoy it because of how well written it was.
