Possessed by the demon of Promiscuity, immortal warrior Paris is irresistibly seductive-but his potent allure comes at a terrible price. Every night he must bed someone new, or weaken and die. And the woman he craves above all others is the one woman he'd thought was forever beyond his reach…until now.

Newly possessed by the demon of Wrath, Sienna Blackstone is racked by a ruthless need to punish those around her. Yet in Paris's arms, the vulnerable beauty finds soul-searing passion and incredible peace. Until a blood feud between ancient enemies heats up.

Will the battle against gods, angels and creatures of the night bind them eternally-or tear them apart?
The Darkest Seduction is one book that the fans of the Lords of the Underworld series have been waiting for. The main character is Paris, a tortured hero who lost the one woman that he feels was truly destined for him. As with all the Lords, they inhabit a demon inside of them and Paris's demon is Sex. He is unable to sleep with the same woman twice and because of this there is lots of heartbreak in his past. It's not something that Paris is proud of and it's all began to get a little tiring. But in order for him stay alive he must have sex and when he does with Sienna Blackstone he feels as if he's finally found his true mate. Unfortunately she is a Hunter, enemy to the Lords and when she dies Paris's heart is broken for the first time. So throughout several books the reader of the series knows what poor Paris has had to endure. When he finds out that Sienna has been brought back to life and placed with the demon Wrath inside of her, he decides that he must find the woman that he loves.  It's definitely the most emotional book of the series to date since Paris is in uncharted waters because he just doesn't know if it's all going to work out for him.  His demon has never had just one woman and that's all he wants.  Paris literally pours his heart out and doesn't wait any time letting Sienna know that he's wanted her all along and that he wants her just the way she is.  Sienna is insecure at times about her looks and can't believe that a man like Paris would want her so badly.  So much has changed for her and she's still learning more about her demon Wrath as well as the new world that she has been placed in.

I did have some issues with the book and my main issue is with the number of pages.  The paperback is 512 pages long and honestly it was just too long. While there are a lot of things that happen in this book, it just seemed like there were times that I found myself a tad bored with the scenes between Paris and Sienna.  I felt that Paris and Sienna just didn't have the heat that the other couples had in the previous books in the series.  I was expecting their reunion to be passion filled since Gena always brings the heat and it just wasn't.  I would say that their reunion is more of an emotional one as they both waste no time letting each other know how they feel about each other.  Now that I liked and found it refreshing due to the fact that they didn't wait until the last minute to do so.  I found myself anxious to get to the other characters in the book and this is the part of the book that I enjoyed the most.  As always the characters that we know and love entertain throughout the book and I found myself laughing out loud at some of their antics.  We get the chance to learn a little more about William and I truly think that Gena is torturing us while waiting for his book because his character is turning out to be the most complex of them all!  I love him and cannot wait to fit the puzzle pieces together to see what exactly is going on with him.  Kane also has some interesting (I think that's the right word) things going on with him and it seems as if Gena is setting his character up to have the next release in the series.  His character seems to be tied to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse who also seem to be tied to William!  With this series I am always anxious to see what's going to happen in the upcoming books and it seems as if there are some interesting things that are going to be played out!

I'm giving The Darkest Seduction a rating of:

I finished the book thinking that I couldn't wait to see what would happen next not only for the Lords, but for the new angel spin off that's coming out in June of this year.  The angel Zacharel is featured in several scenes in The Darkest Seduction and with his book Wicked Nights coming in June things are about to get even more exciting.  The Darkest Seduction also had a couple of really exciting moments that are just pure genius!  They were totally unexpected and never in a million years would I have predicted what happened in these scenes. I can't wait for others to read this book and be in awe of what Gena wrote for these scenes.  Especially the one regarding Paris and Strider.  Strider is my favorite Lord and all I can say is that this scene made my jaw drop to the floor. It happened so quickly that I had to go back and reread the scene to make sure I was reading it correctly.  So prepare yourself to experience another great addition to the series that will leave you wanting more.  But if you're a fan of the series you know this is to be expected.

  2. I was disappointed in this one overall, though I am with you on the Strider revelation. And I thought the ending was fantastic.
