It's been a while since I read a book that man me laugh so hard and Beauty Dates the Beast did that from page 1 all the way until the end of the book. These are my favorite types of books to read and I need them from time to time when some of the review books I read feel a little heavy.  When I first heard about this book I thought it was going to be an interesting read, and it was.  A company that sets up dates for paranormals is interesting for sure and at the heart of this story is Bathsheba.  She's a human whose main objective is to protect her sister Sara that has a secret.  A secret that could bring a lot of trouble. her way.  Working at Midnight Liaisons gives Bathsheba the advantage of keeping an eye on the different paranormal groups so that her sister can be safe.  After a mixup with one of the clients, Bathsheba has to go on a date to keep him happy and she's surprised that she connects with the client as well.  Beau Russell is a very powerful vampire and likes Bathsheba from the time he first hears her on the phone.  So it's no surprise that he flirts with her at every given opportunity during their date.  Bathsheba actually enjoys the date with Beau and is very attracted to him as well. Once word gets out about Bathsheba, she becomes a hot commodity for the company and soon everyone wants to date her.  I loved reading about the different paranormals that she had to deal with.  Bathsheba can't seem to get Beau out of her mind and I gotta say that I couldn't either!

I really enjoyed the characters in Beauty Dates the Beast.  I thought it was admirable for Bathsheba to put her sister first always. Her selfless act kept her sister safe for quite sometime, but it was nice to see Bathsheba get the chance to have a little fun.  I also thought that Beau was admirable since he wanted to protect Bathsheba and Sara when he realized they were in danger.  I can understand why Bathsheba fell for him so quickly.

I'm giving Beauty Dates the Beast a rating of:
Photobucket

Beauty Dates the Beast is the start to an interesting new series. I read this book in no time because the storyline was fun and well written. I'm looking forward to reading more about the characters in book 2 of the series which will be Sara's story. I hope that Jessica Sims continues her witty writing in that story and I can't wait to see what will happen next!

  3. Nice review Bells! I liked this one too - I think it has a really strong beginning. Didn't love the last third but I like these characters. I hear the were-bear hero of the next book is a virgin. *bites lip* :)
