Killing used to be my regular gig, after all. Gin Blanco, aka the Spider, assassin-for-hire. And I was very, very good at it. Now, I’m ready to make the one hit that truly matters: Mab Monroe, the dangerous Fire elemental who murdered my family when I was thirteen. Oh, I don’t think the mission will be easy, but turns out it’s a bit more problematic than expected. The bitch knows I’m coming for her. So now I’m up against the army of lethal bounty hunters Mab hired to track me down. She also put a price on my baby sister’s head. Keeping Bria safe is my first priority. Taking Mab out is a close second. Good thing I’ve got my powerful Ice and Stone magic—and my irresistible lover, Owen Grayson—to watch my back. This battle has been years in the making, and there’s a good chance I won’t survive. But if I’m going down, then Mab’s coming with me . . . no matter what I have to do to make that happen.
Revenge is something that the heroine of this series has had on her mind for a very long time.  Gin Blanco lost all but one of the members of her family to a heartless villain and now it's time for Gin to get her due rewards.  I've been waiting for this moment and I know that I'm not the only one.  Jennifer Estep has done a wonderful job setting up this series for the big showdown between Gin and Mab Monroe.  Mab is so bad that even I want to reach into the book and slug her a couple of times.  Her character is so damn evil and as much as I hate her, she is such a great villain and is so well written that she even gets respect for getting what she wants done.  *chuckles*

All of the wonderful characters that I love in this series is back and their scenes made me become a tad emotional throughout the book.  Even Gin's tough facade is cracked when she truly realizes that they are there for her no matter what.  They really are a family and that shows in Spider's Revenge. Oh Jennifer Estep why you make me cry?!  But it's all good since it was not a sad cry.  It was wonderful seeing them all team up to rally and support Gin when she needed them the most.  I was also happy to see Gin's personal relationships with her sister Bria and boyfriend Owen evolve to a different level as Gin opens up and lets them know how much they mean to her.  It was so great to see a different side of Gin and for her to realize that she's only human and it's ok to let your loved ones know how much you love and need them.

I'm giving Spider's Revenge a rating of:
Photobucket

Spider's Revenge is my favorite book of the series so far!  Such great storytelling in this book by the author and I enjoyed that all of the characters were involved in this one.  Lots of action as Gin tries to take down the enemy and won't stop until the job is done.  I also love the scenes involving Gin cooking food for The Pork Pit and for Finn.  I can just smell all the yummy food and am dying for a piece of Strawberry pie now.   Speaking of Finn, he's my favorite character in the book and I hope we get more of him in the next book. By taking down the biggest and the baddest, Gin is going to be very busy so I'm sure the books following this one will be action packed as well and I can't wait to read what the characters will have to deal with next.

Other books in the series:
Spider's Bite
Web of Lies
Venom
Tangled Threads
