Hector Dean is a man of secrets and there is a reason for that.  His past is not something that one would be proud of and just the memory of it makes Hector want to forget it all.  But the main secret is that he's extremely dangerous to all of those around him because of his ability to burn people to a crisp.  Yes you read that right.  Hector has never been able to understand why his emotions can cause his arms and hands to heat up to the point of setting someone and something ablaze.  Because of this he has kept everyone literally at arms length.  But when Nicole Tremain enters his life he realizes that she is the one thing that he has ever wanted.  Nicole wants him too and when Hector begins to push her away for the fear of hurting her, Nicole feels worthless due to the way that she has been treated throughout her life by her family.  She wants Hector bad (can't say I blame her) and will stop at nothing to have him.  Hector wants her bad (can't say I blame him) and tries his best to control whatever makes him the way that he is.  That saying 'good things come to those who wait'?  Yes, it's so true as proved by the awesome scenes in this book. 

What I love most about Hector Dean is that he is very alpha when it comes to Nicole.  Lots of growling, jaw popping, snarling, and overall possessiveness when it comes to her.  She's a very attractive woman and he lets everyone around him know that she is his, even before she actually became his.  And although Nicole's best friend Ava called dibs on Hector first, he's always been Nicole's are well.  The attraction between these two was evident from the moment they laid eyes on each other and everyone could see it.  Hector would literally start smoking, no not a cigarette, but actual smoke coming off of his body when those two locked lips.  I guess saying it was really hot would be the right way of describing their intimate scenes.  *fans face*

Gena is the best at combining humor into her stories. I love to laugh while I am reading and I think this is why Gena remains my favorite author to this day.  Ava and Nicole are hilarious and have each others backs regardless of the situation.  They were a welcome addition to the series in the last release Ecstacy in Darkness and it was great to see Nicole finally find love.  Hector's character was honorable in that he always wanted to do the right thing and it showed throughout the book.  I'm looking forward to reading the future releases in this series, as well as anything else Gena releases!  Sorry, went a little fangirl there at the end. *smiles*
