Hope appeared out of nowhere, naked and alone, a woman without past. The only thing she knows is that she is imbued with a strange power. It's in her blood. And two men want to possess it.

One is Logan, a Sanguinar demon-fighter who needs Hope's essence to survive. As a vampire he's well-equipped to find her a like-blooded mate whose progeny could sustain his race for generations. The other is Krag, a Synestryn lord whose desire is to enslave Hope, and drain her of the lifeforce. With it he could control humanity forever.

When Hope and Logan both fall prey to Krag, a powerful desire grows between them. But is it enough to thwart their captor's diabolical plan and his demon warriors, and survive a vampire's destiny written in blood?
I was so happy when I learned that Logan was finally going to get his own book!  His character has been in each of the books in the series and is very mysterious.  He always seemed destined to never have love while the others that he helped seemed to find love right in front of his eyes.  When he meets Hope he has a connection to her that he has never had with any other female.  He senses that she is not fully human and she has no memories of her past.  Hope also feels a connection to Logan and hopes that he is able to help her recover her memories.  She knows that Logan is a vampire and when she gives him her blood, Logan immediately becomes the person he once was.  His race is dying because there is a lack of humans whose blood has been altered because they are the result of a mating between an ancient alien race and humans.  He knows that Hope may be one of these types of humans and his attraction to her grows once he gets to know her better.  But Logan must let the Theronai, a dying race devoted to protecting humanity,  know that Helen exists.  She may be the mate to one of the warriors and will be able to save his life.  But for once Logan wants someone for himself, and Hope wants him as well.  Together they try to solve the mystery of her past while keeping her safe from Krag, an evil demon lord that wants Hope for her powerful blood.  He'll stop at nothing to obtain this goal of capturing Hope to absorb her lifeforce.

I loved the inner conflict that Logan faced when he had to make the decision of whether he should tell the Theronai that Hope existed.  Hope made him feel things that he hadn't felt in a long time.  He's always done the right thing and for once found someone that felt right for him.  He was deserving of Hope's love and I loved the journey that they had to take in this book.  I also enjoyed reading about the other characters in the book and some of the new developments that have taken place.  I can't wait to see how it all works out in the future books.

I'm giving Blood Hunt a rating of:
Photobucket

Blood Hunt was another great addition to the series and I loved that it had a different feel that the other books.  The other books mainly focused on the Theronai and this book gave the reader the opportunity to learn more about the other races as well as the problems that they are dealing with.  Logan's character truly embodies the characters of a hero as he did everything in his power to keep Hope safe.  Like I said earlier, I am so happy that his character finally got a little happiness of his own and I'm looking forward to reading about Logan and Hope in future books.
