Faith Aldridge wants answers. Bramble, Texas is the only place she can find them . . . as well as Hope, the identical twin sister she never knew she had. But the townsfolk reckon that shy city-girl Faith is really her long-lost sister Hope, back in Bramble at last. And they're fixin' to do whatever it takes to heat things up between her and Hope's long-time flame, Slate Calhoun. If that means rustling her car, spreading rumors like wildfire, and reining in some explosive secrets, well, there's no way like the Lone Star way . . .

But Slate's no fool. The woman in his truck may look like Hope, yet the way she feels in his arms is altogether new. He's determined to keep this twin in his bed and out of his heart. Trouble is, the real Hope is headed home, and she's got her own designs on Slate. If Faith wants to avoid heartbreak, she'll have to show a certain ruggedly handsome cowboy that this crazy-impossible love is worth fighting for.
Before Faith’s mother passes away, she tells Faith a huge secret about her life that not only is she adopted, but she also has a identical twin sister. Faith decides to take a trip to Bramble, TX to get to the bottom of things and from the moment she steps into town, she realizes that it’s different from home. Because she looks so much like her sister, the whole town thinks that she is back home. Hope, Faith’s sister, moved to Hollywood to become a big movie star and everyone thinks she is back home. Before she has the chance to tell everyone the truth, she meets the one person who is expecting to see Hope. Slate is Hope’s best friend and former boyfriend. When he sees Faith for the first time he realizes that it’s not Hope and gives her a kiss. To his surprise, Faith kisses him right back and enjoys it. Then the fun begins because the whole town gets into the middle of this situation and it makes for some fun and entertaining reading.

I loved reading the banter between Slate and Hope. The reader gets the opportunity to see them fall for each other as the two characters get to know each other better. Slate is the town’s golden boy and everyone loves him, while Faith (Hope) is the female version of this. Everyone thinks they belong together and the characters realize that they feel like themselves when they are around each other. Slate sees so many things in Faith the he doesn’t see in her sister Hope and this makes him fall for her even faster. There were many sweet parts in the book and I loved it when Slate told this to Faith:
“I missed you.” “I know it’s crazy,” he said as he dipped his head lower. “Especially since we’ve only known each other for a week, but I can’t seem to help it.”
Faith begins to realize that she feels at home in Bramble, TX and that this is where her family truly is. Everyone in the town has grown on her and once she get the opportunity to learn more about everyone, she realizes that there is no place that she would rather be.

I am giving Going Cowboy Crazy a rating of:
This book was such a cute, entertaining read. There were hilarious moments as everyone in the town seemed to know what was going on, but still didn’t realize that Faith was not Hope. Even through they managed to mettle into Slate and Faith’s affair, you can’t help but love them and I can’t wait to visit Bramble, TX again.

Make Mine A Bad Boy
Book 2 of the Double Trouble Series

Author:  Katie Lane

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Hope Scroggs is finally ready to get hitched. After years of sowing her wild oats, the former head cheerleader and homecoming queen has returned to Bramble, Texas, to marry her high school flame. But her perfect wedding plans are stomped to smithereens when her adoring cowboy two-steps down the aisle with someone else. Now Hope is stuck with the one man from her past she can't shake: Colt Lomax, an irresistible bad boy whose sultry kisses are hotter than the Panhandle in August . . .
Colt lives for freedom and the open road; he never gets attached, never looks back. Still, he can't forget the night of passion he once shared with Bramble's sweetheart--a night he wouldn't mind repeating. So, he piles on the Texas charm to tease the feisty beauty back into his bed, while she tries her darnedest to resist. But something unexpected is about to tie their fates together . . . and oh, baby, will it ever!
After seeing her twin sister marry the man she thought she would marry one day, Hope realizes that that she's lonely and that she wouldn't mind a love of her own.  Then Colt Lomax arrives in Bramble and turns her world upside down.  You see Colt and Hope never got along from the time the were kids.  So Hope tries her best to stay as far away from him as she can.  But it's kind of hard to do because he is her best friends brother.  They soon find themselves running into each other all over town and they realize that the attraction between them never left.

I thought that Hope and Colt belonged together because it was evident while reading their scenes.  I loved that the townsfolk knew this as well because they would always see them doing things together from the time they kids.  There was a touching scene between Hope and her father when he tells her how he truly felt about Colt and it wasn't until that moment that Hope realizes how important Colt was to her.  They are crazy about one another and are the last ones to realize this of course.

I liked Colt's character from the minute he showed up in Bramble, TX.  I have a thing for bad boys and Colt sure seemed to be one.  He rides a motorcycle, has a tattoo that runs down the length of his arm, and gives off the feeling that he's bad.  But he's really a softie that has been pining for the towns sweetheart.  I have to say that I don't like Hope's character that much.  From book 1 she has been loud, arrogant, and obnoxious and I was happy when the author softened her character up a bit.  Colt is good for her and seems to bring out a different side of her.  I'm glad that this happened so that I can enjoy her character more in the future books.  I also wished there was more heat between the characters.  Because they are like oil and vinegar when they are together, we didn't get the chance to get a lot of loving moments between the two of them.  I was still able to feel the attraction and love between the two of them and by the end of the book was happy with ending.
