Two men: one living, one dead, and both vying for her love.

Camellia Stafford has never been alone in her room. For twenty years, she's been engaged in a fierce power struggle with her bedroom's previous tenant, Frank DeLuca, the ghost trapped in the light fixture above her bed.

Caustic and cranky, Frank has one soft spot-Cam. Over the years, their feelings for one another have evolved from grudging friendship to an enduring love that burns white-hot until Frank puts his feelings for Cam on ice.

When she suffers the loss of her beloved father, Cam returns home to say good-bye, and confront her feelings for Frank. She finds an unexpected shoulder to lean on in neighbor, Bradley Mitchum. Cam falls hard and fast for the handsome ad man's charming smile and passion-ate nature, but Brad's easy-going exterior masks a steely backbone tempered by adversity.

Now Cam must choose- Is her heart strong enough to determine which dream could lead to a love that will last a lifetime?
Paramour is a complicated story about a woman that is in love with two men.  Camilla has been in love with Frank for a very long time,  but there's a problem...he's dead.  Frank once lived in the house that Camilla grew up in.  In fact her bedroom was once his, and it's the room that he died in.  His spirit is trapped in the light sconce that is on the wall and when it's switched on, he is released.  She has been able to see him since she was a little girl and has come to rely on Frank as her friend.  Her feelings for him changed once she became a teen because he was a teen as well.  Knowing that a relationship could never happen between them, Frank ignored Camilla and she eventually moved on with her life.  She is now home once again because her father has passed away and finds herself needing the comfort of Frank.  Before you know it old feelings resurface and they both let each other know how they feel about one another.

Bradley Mitchum is Cam's neighbor and had a crush on her when they were younger.  When he finds out that her father has passed away, he offers her support and they soon find themselves spending time with one another.  Their attraction to one another grows as well and Frank soon has a problem with this.  Cam soon finds herself having to decide between Cam and Frank. The decision is not easy for her due to there being challenges with both.  I personally like Brad and it wasn't because he is living.  I thought his character was adorable with his crush on Cam and felt that he knew what he wanted.  He was also extremely sexy and you know that Bells loves the sexy men!

I thought that Paramour had an interesting concept and was well written.  It was entertaining and kept my attention throughout the book.  I could really relate to all of the characters in the book and thought that was important.  They each had their own issues to deal with while dealing with each other throughout the book.  That is not an easy thing and it made for interesting reading.

I'm giving Paramour a rating of:

  5. Hmmm. I'm all curious as to how she has a relationship with a ghost, I don't think I've read a book like that yet! Definitely going to be looking into this one, thanks Bells!
