Two Men Are One Too Many . . .

Tara has a thousand good reasons not to return to the little coastal town of Lucky Harbor, Washington. Yet with her life doing a major crash-and-burn,
anywhere away from her unfulfilled dreams and sexy ex-husband will do. As Tara helps her two sisters get their newly renovated inn up and running, she finally has a chance to get things under control and come up with a new plan for her life.

But a certain tanned, green-eyed sailor has his own ideas, such as keeping Tara hot, bothered . . . and in his bed. And when her ex wants Tara back, three is a crowd she
can't control-especially when her deepest secret reappears out of the blue. Now Tara must confront her past and discover what she really wants. If she's lucky, she might just find that everything her heart desires is right here in Lucky Harbor.

I visited Lucky Harbor again and had a great time!  We are introduced to Tara and Ford in book 1 of the series, The Sweetest Thing, and know that they have had a relationship in the past.  We know that things didn't end well and that there are some issues between them that haven't been completely resolved.  Tara avoids Ford every time she sees him while he take this opportunity to flirt with her.  It's obvious that Tara is still attracted to him and doesn't want to give into that attraction.  To make things worse, her ex husband Logan is a famous race car driver and decides to come to Lucky Harbor to win her back.  So not only does Tara get pulled into 2 different directions between 2 men, she also has to deal with her sisters Maddie and Chloe, and the entire town of Lucky Harbor that seems to get into the middle of everything.  This does not bode well for Tara and her control issues.

Tara and Ford's relationship is like an onion and as the layers are peeled away we get to see exactly what happened in the past.  Without giving away a major plot point, the reveal of it was perfect!  I had a feeling that this plot point was one of the main reasons why Tara was avoiding Ford and loved that it added more complexity to their relationship.  We know that these two care about each other deeply, but both are afraid to show it.  Tara is afraid to give into the pull that she has to Ford.  No other man has made her feel the way that she does when Ford is around.  Ford on the other hand wants Tara badly, but doesn't know how to see a relationship all the way through.  They realize exactly what the other wants and even though there are times of frustration, they cannot deny that they are right for each other.  I could feel their attraction to one another as I was reading and as the tension built between the two of them I knew that Jill Shalvis was going to give us some great love scenes for making us wait!  Ford was so irresistible that I had to add him to my Book Boyfriend list and my buddy Danielle can't stop talking about him!  He can cook me an quesadilla anytime!

I'm giving it a rating of:

I loved that there were so many people involved in this story.   The entire town was rooting Tara and Ford and hoping their relationship would work.  I know that I was as well. There is also a great build up to the next book in the series Head Over Heels which will be released in November and will feature the youngest sister of the group Chloe and her love interest Sawyer.  I can't wait to visit Lucky Harbor again because I feel that this book is going to be a hot one!
