Hell hath no fury like a witch done wrong. Pissed off and packing an arsenal of witchy mojo, Martha is on the warpath. Determined to avenge the murder of her mother and grandmother, her mission is simple: kill every vampire, demon and underworld bastard she comes across, because one of those hell beasts might be the monster that stole her childhood from her. But when a sexy Latin vamp literally falls from the sky, saving her from becoming an undead Happy Meal, she has no choice but to reassess everything she thinks she knows.

Xan is an anomaly --a vampire born, not turned. A powerful warlock who walks in daylight, Xan spends his days, and nights, watching over Martha, protecting her from Lucian, the blood-sucking monstrosity whose sole mission in death is to drain her dry. Undeniable attraction and the promise of pleasures untold draw the two lovers into a frustrating dance of one step forward, two steps back. When Lucian throws down a deadly ultimatum, Martha is forced to choose between relying on her own mystical woo woo to save the lives of her stolen friends or succumbing to the lure of dark, voodoo magic. Xan and Martha must work together to save those closest to her and put an end to Lucian's reign of terror before it's too late.

If you've read book 1 of the series, Eve of Samhain, you've meet Martha already. In that book Martha is a quiet, goth chick that seems to give off bad vibes because of her demeanor. We come to find out that she's a really nice gal, that's a witch. She ends up helping the main characters of the first book using her witchcraft, and now she gets a book to herself. In Pleasures Untold, we get the chance to learn more about Martha and her past and their is a reason to her being withdrawn at times. She's been hiding and on the run since she was a little girl. After her mother and grandmother were killed by a vampire out for revenge, she was sent to a family friend to be protected so that she could not be found. Most of what Martha starts to remember comes in bits and pieces in her dreams, and when young women from her college starts to disappear, Martha soon finds herself trying to solve their murders.

The young women that are disappearing seem to have one thing in common, they all visited a club that Martha decides to go scope out one night with her friends. While there she does notice vampires, as well as a bartender who seems to have his eyes on every move that she makes. He seems familiar to her she can't quite put her finger on why. She soon realizes that the bartender, Xan, has been watching her for a very long time and soon they find themselves fighting side by side as well as giving into the attraction between them.

Pleasures Untold had lots of action and I loved that the storyline kept me curious as to what was going to happen next. I thought Martha's character was great in the first book and I'm happy that Lisa Sanchez gave the readers the opportunity to learn more about her. Martha is fresh and interesting and had me laughing throughout the book. This quote was one of my favorites:
Whatever. I liked my style. I was no Barbie girl. I looked like the girl who ate Barbie for breakfast.

This is what I liked about Martha. She was who she was and didn't care what anyone thought. Even though she has never been able to let people see her true self to stay safe, she still had confidence in herself and I feel that made her character even more kick ass than when she's killing vamps!

I'm giving Pleasures Untold 3.5 Bells!
