Interview & Giveaway: Lisa Sanchez

Today I have the pleasure of welcoming Lisa Sanchez to the blog! She is the author of the Hanover Park Series which includes Eve of Samhain and her newest release, Pleasures Untold.

Thanks for stopping by Hanging With Bells Lisa!
Thank you for having me!

Pleasures Untold is book 2 of your Hanaford Park Series. Tell us a little about it.
Sure thing! Pleasures Untold is Martha's story. She's a powerful witch with some serious baggage. Her mother was murdered by a particularly nasty vampire and she's been on the hunt for him ever since. Thing is, the bad guy is looking for her too, so she's forced to live a secret life, disguising her true self from everyone. Life is pretty black and white for her. Vamps and demons are bad and therefore must be killed. Then she meets Xan, and well...her feelings with regard to vamps change. Well, her feelings about one vamp, anyway.

I have to say that I love Martha's character and was glad that she got her own book.
Thank you! I love her character as well. Can you believe I didn't want to write her at first? We're very different and she scared the crap out of me!

How many books do you have planned for this series? Will we get a chance to see Quinn again? Hehe!
If things go as planned the series will span four books. I'm three quarters of the way finished with Taylor's book right now, and have the first chapter of Jessica's book written. Taylor's book takes place in a different setting...cough...and different...cough...time...cough...so we won't see Quinn, Ryann or the rest of the gang again until book four. Well, at least I don't think so. As I said, I'm not done with book three yet. Things can change :)

Do you have any other projects you're working on?
The only project I'm actively working on at the moment is The Witching Hour, which is Taylor's book. I do, however, have a few ideas swimming around in my head. Once I finish my current WIP, I plan on starting those up. I'd like to try my hand at a YA. Something with cheerleaders. Lol, surprise, surprise!

I know that you are a busy mom. How do you juggle your writing and all the other things that you need to do?
Honestly, I'm not sure how I do it most days! Between homework, extra school projects, cheer and a house to maintain, things tend to get a bit hectic. Thing is, writing is relaxing for me. Once I sit down and lose myself in the story, everything else, the stressors of my crazy schedule, they all seem to fall away. It's nice. Well, nice until the hubby comes home and wonders why dinner hasn't been made and why I'm still in my pajamas. Good times!

How do your girls feel about their mom being a writer? I noticed that you mentioned them in your dedication in Pleasures Untold as well as others. I know them must all be very important to you.
I think they're proud. Well, I hope they're proud, lol! I work hard to instill confidence in them and have always told them they can do anything as long as they work hard and focus. Becoming a published author, to me, was not only a fulfillment of a life long dream, but a great example of perseverance for my girls. They're my inspiration, what fuels my muse and I love them dearly!

I just wanted to say that you are seriously one of the nicest tweeps that I chat with on Twitter. You are always so positive and I'm always happy when your avatar pops up on the screen.
Awww, thank you! That means a lot to me. Really! I try to hop on Twitter as often as I can, which,I'm sad to say isn't often enough. I've been very blessed to have met a large group of people (including you!) who have been nothing but welcoming and helpful. Authors, and book bloggers are some of the nicest, most supportive people around! I'm truly lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community.

Thanks again for the interview and I'm looking forward to what you have in store for your readers for the future!
Thanks for having me! This was a lot of fun!

Book 1: Eve of Samhain

As a college senior and server at Hanaford Park's hottest nightclub, twenty-one year old Ryann Pierce's plan was simple: work hard, make lots of money, and avoid the ass-grabbers at all costs. What she never planned for was Quinn Donegan—the living, breathing advertisement for sinful behavior that waltzed into her life. With an angelic face, a hard body and a butt-load of charm, Quinn had a way with the ladies—a lot of ladies. Cursed with a deadly, addictive touch, his trail of indiscretion blazed across five hundred years. Tired and jaded, Ryann is a shocking revelation Quinn didn't see coming. Filled with desire, yet unable to touch one another, Ryann and Quinn embark on a daunting journey, battling frustrating physical limitations while exploring their new love. In a race against the clock, Ryann learns she must plead for Quinn's life before…the Eve of Samhain. Determined to end her lover's suffering, not even the danger dogging her every move can keep her from her mission.

Book 2: Pleasures Untold

Hell hath no fury like a witch done wrong. Pissed off and packing an arsenal of witchy mojo, Martha is on the warpath. Determined to avenge the murder of her mother and grandmother, her mission is simple: kill every vampire, demon and underworld bastard she comes across, because one of those hell beasts might be the monster that stole her childhood from her. But when a sexy Latin vamp literally falls from the sky, saving her from becoming an undead Happy Meal, she has no choice but to reassess everything she thinks she knows.

Xan is an anomaly --a vampire born, not turned. A powerful warlock who walks in daylight, Xan spends his days, and nights, watching over Martha, protecting her from Lucian, the blood-sucking monstrosity whose sole mission in death is to drain her dry. Undeniable attraction and the promise of pleasures untold draw the two lovers into a frustrating dance of one step forward, two steps back. When Lucian throws down a deadly ultimatum, Martha is forced to choose between relying on her own mystical woo woo to save the lives of her stolen friends or succumbing to the lure of dark, voodoo magic. Xan and Martha must work together to save those closest to her and put an end to Lucian's reign of terror before it's too late.
