Book Giveaway!

I have decided to have a monthly giveaway here at Hanging with Bells! Each month I am going to give away a copy of a book that I am absolutely in love with. I believe that sharing is important and this is something that I have wanted to do for a long time. So, once a month I will be giving away one book to a lucky follower of my blog. I'm going to call this monthly contest: Share the Love!

How do you like my fancy pic? LOL! Now let's get serious! I'm sure you're wondering what book I will be giving away right? Well, it's a book that I am currently obsessed over. I read this book and fell in love with it instantly! It really is good from start to finish. Huh? What's that you said? "Just get to it!" Okay, fine! The first book that I will be giving away in my new monthly contest is:

Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between by the talented J.A. Saare!

Here is a quick synopsis of the book:

One bad corpse can ruin your whole day. No one knows that better than Rhiannon Murphy. She’s left behind the flash and sass of Miami for the no-nonsense groove of New York City, eager for a clean slate and a fresh start. A bartender by trade, a loud mouth by choice, and a necromancer by chance; she’s managed to keep her nifty talent hidden from those around her – until now.

The deliciously good-looking vampire Disco knows her secret, and when he strolls into her bar to solicit help investigating the mysterious disappearances of his kind from the city, she discovers he’s not the kind of person that appreciates the significance of the word no.

But in a world where vampires peddle their blood as the latest and greatest drug of choice, it’s only a matter of time before the next big thing hits the market. Someone or something is killing vampires to steal their hearts, and unlike Rhiannon, this isn’t their first stroll around the undead block.

Awesome huh?! I guarantee you that you will love this book! And Disco. He is one unforgettable character!

  1. I follow your blog at abailey_crace. I'd love to share the book So Far From the Bamboo Grove with my 10 year old son. I read it when I was about his age and loved it and I think he would too. abailey_crace@yahoo.com

  2. I love the name Disco! Being an avid reader it's hard to pick one book but if I had to chose one, it would be To Kill A Mockingbird. I read it in the 9th grade. Up til then, I was a reader but a reader of Harlequin romances and Sweet Valley High Books. Mockingbird was the first serious book I read that touched me and I was happy that I read. It didn't matter that it was for an assignment; I immediately fell in love with it. And then I rented the movie and fell in love with Gregory Peck (even though he was much too old for me. LOL!) I would share that book with my son and hope that he reads a book that makes him become a lover of reading. Right now, he's a reluctant reader and it sucks because I love reading so much and can't understand why he hates it. Hopefully he'll soon have his Mockingbird moment and will love reading as much as I do.

  3. Hey Bells!

I follow your blog and I follow you on Twitter (@Melanie_Vautour)
I haven't read this book yet but I so want to. I read a lot of reviews and it just look really good. :D

I would like to share so many books. One of them would be one of the last ones I've read : Seduced By His Touch by Tracy Anne Warren. It's a great historical romance novel that I think everyone should read! It's so good!!

Thanks for a chance to win this book!

  4. Hi there Bells :)

I follow you and am a follower on Twitter (@Jenn_bookcrazy)...

I just last night, wrote a post about sharing, and what book made me "leave the planet to inhabit the world inside the book" type thing LOL my picks were Seers of Light, Angel Star among others...the reason I pick them, is because while reading them I was so imerged into the story I felt as though when I looked at the sky it was the sky they looked at, I felt as if the characters had to be real there was no way they were not out walking around in this world with me!

Thanks so much for the chance to win!

  5. Bells: This is so exciting!! I love your graphic!

I have many books I want to share. But I think the first book I would share with someone is Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh. Her Psy/Changling series is in my top 5 favorites. It's an amazing book as well. It's the book I give to my "non romance or non-paranormal" friends to break them into the genre.

    Thanks for the great contest!

  6. Hi Bells,
I am a follower of your blog and on twitter(bbricke)I think the book I would share is Little Woman by Louisa M. Alcott. I think that was one of the first books that pulled me in and opened up my imagination. Thanks for the contest.

  7. great giveaway.your review for this book made me want to read it.
A book I'd like to share is Red headed Step Child by Jaye Wells,I just re-read it before I start Mage in Black.I loved this book the action starts right from the begin and it doesn't slow down throughout the book. And you gotta love Guihl her sidekick :)

  8. It sounds like a great book Bells! If I don't win it, I'll be buying it! LOL!

  9. Doode! This shit is such a good idea!! I may have to steal it one day. Don't worry, I'd give ya the well deserved credit ;)

So... I live in the US... I'm a follower... hehe...

And which book would I like to share the love?! Hrmph... I think I'll say Heather Webber's Truly, Madly because I'm not sure how many people would just pick that one up on their own. And I LOVED IT.

  10. This book looks good! I am a follower of your blog and on twitter.

I would share the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning..I guess if I have to pick one book, it would be the first one Dark Fever, because I know when you finish that you will be wanting to read the rest of it! I can't believe we have to wait so long for the next book!

  11. I am a new follower. I would share the book Dewey The Small Town Library Cat by Vicki Myron. It was a very heartwarming book and is a must for animal lovers especially cat ones like me. I loved this book and would read it over and over.

  12. I always love when people are enthusiastic about books! I wanna read this! Yay!

I'm a follower here and on twitter (@suan_tian).

Well, I love Robin McKinley, and I just love Beauty by her. But she has a vampire book too (for adults~), called Sunshine. I just love it. I went a little crazy after I read it and had my sis all revved up to read it, and I was like, "When you're older!" I still entertain the notion she's innocent (but really the book is mild compared...). Anyway! I highly recommend it. McKinley style is wordy (which I don't mind in the least), but she creates wonderful worlds and most of all great characters.

  13. I follow you on twitter (@feministreader) and on here weheartreading(at)gmail(dot)com.

The book you are giving away sounds like a book I would love to read. What a great giveaway idea!

The book I would love to share is Into the Mist Book 1 in The Falcon Mercenary Group series by Maya Banks. Its a very well written shape shifter novel with a lot of erotica. It satisfies both of my favourite genres.

  14. I would love to share the Outland serries with a new reader. They are above and beyond fantastic. I also like new opinions of Twilight. I would also enjoy sharing some of my paranormal reads with my husband. But unfortunately I do not think that will happen. Stubborn man!

I follow your blog and on twitter (@intensewhisper).

    robin [at] intensewhisper [dot] com

  15. I follow you here and on twitter. I would share the Wicked series by Gregory Macguire. They provide such a alternative to the Wizard of Oz we already know. Its very interesting to see the story from another viewpoint and to see the other working of Oz and how you can relate them to our current world.

  16. Don't enter me, I just wanted to add that I loved this book also. Disco was so yummy.

Your site is really coming along Bells and the boss lady couldn't be any cuter I swear :)

  17. I've already read the book (AND LOVED IT) but I figured I'd share the love anyway. :)

I'd give Megan Hart's "Broken" away. It was the first MH book I ever read, and had me hooked from the very first sentence. Literally.

  18. I've not read this book, but have heard lots about it and it sounds really great. The book I've shared To Kill a Mockingbird with many people. It is probably my most favorite book ever.

  19. Fallon-Thanks a lot! I still have to fix the header above and center a couple of things. The Boss Lady is a handful. I have to add some new pics soon. :)

  20. I am a follower. This book sounds great! A book I would love to share, or rather a series I would love to share is The Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter. It has demons, angels, romance, greek gods, etc. What's not to love?

  21. There are SO many books I'd love to share with people it's hard to choose. For romance I'd go with J.R. Ward books. But as far as life changing stuff I'd give every college student, or someone graduating HS, Ayn Rand's We Are the Living. It's a novella of learning to be an individual.

  22. I'm a new follower and I would like to share the dark-hunter series by Kenyon.

  23. Hey Bells!

I'd share The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah with everyone because it is a great book and the young female character, Winter, showed that life gives you choices to make and you can be 'street smart' about them but not very smart where it really counts in life.

  24. I have two books I'd love to share:
Soulless by Gail Carriger because it is a fabulous read - vampires, werewolves, Steampunk and a heroine with no soul - what more could you ask for?
Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler - because Nicole is a fantastic writer and her characters and world building are wonderful.

Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between sounds like a great book and I'm going to have to put it on my wish list.

    I'm a follower.

  25. I would love to share Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. It's touched me in so many ways. I've already had my mom read it, and now I'm working on my sister! lol

I'm already a follower on Google and I now follow on Twitter.

    Thanks for the contest!

  26. I have heard so much about this book! It must be amazing! I'm @hfaesy on twitter

Book sharing is something I get a little intense about. First I push the Hunger Games series on anyone and everyone who hasn't read them. Mortal Instruments series too. And if they have read those, then I suggest the Iron King, Hush Hush, or His Dark Materials trilogy. all have stick with you stories. Have to love those!

    thanks for hosting! Ciao!

  27. I've heard so many good things about this book that of course I can't help but want! :) Great contest, Bells!

  29. Ok book I'd like to share with someone...AHA! Tempting the Beast because it was Lora Leigh's first in the breed series and I'd love to get someone else addicted to her writing! LOL!

I would love to share Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver because it is beautiful, tragic and hopeful :)

    thebookvixen at gmail dot com

(I'm following you on twitter and your blog :D)

  36. For someone who reads paranormals, I would love to share Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. She's currently my favorite PNR/UF author.

For someone who likes historicals and/or romances, I would share The Game of Kings, first book in The Lymond Chronicles by Dorothy Dunnett. This series IMHO is one of the best historicals ever written. Set in Scotland in the 1500's, it's got everything - impeccable research, non-stop action and one of the most amazing heros ever written.

  37. The Reluctant Dom I was very touched by this WONDERFUL love story. I love this book and it will touch your heart. Its a long e-book I got it on my KINDLE. Bernie-BTS1957@HotMail.com
