Mallory Quinn has had enough of playing it safe. As a nurse and devoted daughter, she takes care of everyone but herself. And as the local good girl, she's expected to date Mr. Right. But for once, she'd like to take a risk on Mr. Wrong. And who could be more wrong than Ty Garrison? The mysterious new guy in town has made it clear that he's only passing through, which suits Mallory just fine. Besides, his lean, hard body and sexy smile will give her plenty to remember once he's gone...

For the first time in his life, Ty can't bear to leave. Helping this sexy seductress-in-training walk on the wild side is making him desire things he shouldn't -- including leaving the military for good. As their just-for-fun fling becomes something more, Mallory and Ty wonder if they could really be this lucky in love. After all...anything can happen in a town called Lucky Harbor.
Lucky in Love is the beginning of a new chapter in the Lucky Harbor series.  The first 3 books in the series focused on 3 sisters that came together after the death of their mother after spending years apart from one another.  Throughout those books the got the chance to know each other better as well as meet men that they would fall in love with.  Now the series is focusing on other women in the town of Lucky Harbor.  A group of women that bond together during a stormy night and that love chocolate so much that they call themselves The Chocoholics.  I think I need to be a part of this group by the way.  The first book is about Mallory Quinn who has been a resident of Lucky Harbor for all of her life.  Everyone knows her as a caring and responsible person. So when she meets someone and wants to take a ride on the somewhat wild side, she let's go and gives into passion.  Ty Garrison is the guy she lets go with.  He known in the town as the "cute guy".  No one really knows a lot about him since he's new to town and keeps to himself.  When he comes to the aid of the Chocoholics on night, he and Mallory hit it off and the fun begins. It was great to see Mallory feel free of some of her responsibilities and just enjoy the moment.  The same can be said with Ty.  He has past that he doesn't like to discuss with anyone.  He's trying his best to get some r&r and doesn't want to think about what has happened.  Mallory takes away the bad and with that he is able to heal and move on.

I thought the attraction between the two of them was intense and could definitively be felt while reading the story.  Jill does a great job as always of creating this tension between her male and female characters that has the reader begging for them to find some way of being together.  It ends up being even more enjoyable when everything works out for the characters they way that it should.

I'm giving Lucky In Love a rating of:

I enjoyed Lucky In Love, but just wasn't blown away by it. It was interesting to get to know these new characters better, but at the same time they aren't going to be my favorite of the series. But with all of Jill's stories, it's well written and has a way of making you feel as if you are a part of Lucky Harbor with the characters. Her stories will always have you waiting to see who is going to fall in love and how it's going to happen.  The secondary characters continue to entertain and one of my favorites is Lucille.  I enjoy reading about her and love how she puts herself into everyone's business.  So funny and you can't help but love her like the residents of the town do.  All of this combined adds up to great reading and that's what what I love so much about this series.
