Sin's work is never done...
Ava should know. For nearly two thousand years, she’s worked for Lucifer himself, infecting the heart of man with greed wherever she goes. She wasn't prepared to fall in love, certainly not with an angel. And she definitely wasn't ready to experience her first broken heart after her angel breaks things off in the form of a Dear Jane letter.

Now Ava has a problem. Lucifer believes she might have shared some of Hell’s secrets with her former lover, and her siblings face the possibility of being out of a job due to her indiscretion. Ava flees to the American South, hoping to slip off the radar and is met by a longtime friend, a vampire named Dante. Granted, Ava doesn’t know Dante has been in love with her for centuries, and doesn’t understand why he won’t leave her alone no matter what comes after her.

With Hell on her trail, Ava’s running short on friends. Meanwhile, she can’t ignore the suggestive looks Dante keeps sending her way. Something tells her it doesn’t take Hell to get things hot…

Working for the devil is not easy.  You see Ava works for Lucifer himself and she's found herself in a bit of a bind.  She fell for an angel and Lucifer thinks that Ava has told him a very important secret, that Ava is a Sin.  Yes, one of the 7 Deadly Sins.  This information is to be kept secret and because he thinks that she's told her lover, she is fired from her job.  Because her life may be in danger, she decides to go on the run and ends up running into an old friend of hers.  Dante and Ava have been friends for thousands of years and he's had feeling for her for a while.  Instead of telling her, he hides it behind a wall of jokes and smart comments.  But when he realizes that he is the only one helping Ava he decides to let her know how he feels.

I loved Dante's character from the moment he showed up on the first page.  He's a loyal friend to Ava and truly cares for her.  I could feel his disappointment in learning that he was not Ava's first and felt sorry for him when he realized this.  Although he wasn't Ava's first, he was her first in many other things.  There were some hot sex scenes between the two of them once the give into their attraction to one another and let's just say that Dante has a very talented...tongue.  Yes folks, it's so amazing that he has his own hashtag on Twitter (#Dantetonguelove).  The only problem I had with Dante is that he talked a little too much for me in one of the sex scenes.   I'm all for a man teasing a woman to the point of begging, but he teased a little to much for me and it took away from the heat of the scene.

I liked the concept of the book with the 7 Deadly Sins being people and thought it was different.  I also Rosalie's writing style and thought that the book flowed easily.  I hope she is planning on continuing this concept in other future releases.  It'll be interesting to see what kind of fun the different Sin's can get into.

I'm giving Lost Wages of Sin a rating of:
